What Features Do Our Carts Have?
| Feature | How it helps during your stay |
|---|---|
| Extended roof | Provides shade over the seating area. The open sides still allow sun and rain to reach passengers. |
| Folding windshield | Helps reduce wind and splashes when raised and allows more airflow when folded down. |
| Front and rear lights | Provide lighting and visibility for journeys after dark. |
| Rearview mirror | Helps the driver keep track of traffic behind the cart. |
| Horn | Allows the driver to alert other road users when needed. |
| Cup holders | Provide a place for drinks without passengers having to hold them throughout the journey. |
| Front and rear mudguards | Help reduce spray and debris thrown up by the wheels. |
| Rear-seat guard rail | Provides a handhold for passengers in the rear seating area. |
Our rental carts run on gasoline. You won’t need to plug the cart in or plan overnight charging at your accommodation.
Before leaving with your cart, we’ll explain its operation and the fuel requirements for your rental. You can also review our rental FAQs before booking.
Our carts include front seating and a rear-facing back seat. Rear passengers travel facing the opposite direction from the driver, so consider whether that arrangement suits everyone in your group.
Choose a cart with enough designated seats for every passenger. Include both adults and children in your passenger count when checking availability, and confirm the seating capacity of the cart you reserve.
Passengers step up into the cart rather than entering at pavement level. Entry height, foot placement and access to handholds can affect how easily someone boards.
Use the gallery to inspect the layout. If stepping up or turning into a seat is difficult for someone in your group, contact us before booking for details and closer photos of the available cart.
Golf carts have limited space for belongings compared with a car. When all passenger seats are occupied, room for suitcases, shopping and beach equipment is more restricted.
For everyday outings, bring only what you can carry securely without blocking the driver, foot space or access to the seats. If you’re arriving with airport luggage, send us your passenger and bag count so we can confirm suitable arrival arrangements.
What Is the Ride Like Around Ambergris Caye?
A golf cart lets you travel in the open air, with more exposure to the weather and road surface than you would experience in an enclosed car.
Expect wind while moving, occasional dust and bumps on uneven roads. Your experience will depend on your route, speed and current conditions. Allow extra time for rough sections and slow down rather than trying to maintain the same pace throughout your journey.
If you’re staying north of the bridge or planning to visit Secret Beach, let us know when reserving. We can explain current conditions and any restrictions that apply to your rental.
Shade and Rain Protection
The extended roof provides shade, and the raised windshield helps with wind and splashes from the front. The cart’s sides remain open, so passengers can still get wet during rain.
Bring suitable sun protection and keep phones, documents and other valuables in a water-resistant bag.
Comfort on Uneven Roads
Seat cushioning does not remove the movement caused by bumps and uneven surfaces. Passengers should remain seated and use the available handholds while the cart is moving.
If a passenger needs a particularly smooth ride or has specific access requirements, discuss those needs before reserving so you can assess the available cart and your transport options.
Well-Maintained Carts With Local Support
We inspect our carts between rentals and address repairs before returning them to service. When replacement parts are needed, we source them through the Club Car dealer.
Before you drive away, our team will explain the controls and give you an opportunity to check the cart and ask questions.
Your rental also includes 24/7 roadside assistance. If you experience a mechanical problem, contact our San Pedro team for help.
